Do you think ‘surrender is the secret to allowing greater outcomes’? Or is there another better way to achieve success?
When I look up surrender in the dictionary, it says – To yield to power, to relinquish control, to give up completely in favor of another…
Surrender means to relinquish control. Hmmm…It is definitely much easier to say the word surrender then to actually follow through with the action.
I was taught I have to work hard to make anything out of life. I like to know that I create success in life; therefore, I must work hard to create my desired result. So I set goals and I work hard towards them. To me, that is just being goal driven.
It is when I worked very hard on something and was still not getting my desired result that I started to get frustrated. In the past, I would get angry. I get judgmental about myself. In some occasions, I even blamed God and played the ‘victim’. I remembered one time; my wise teacher asked me “why are you so angry and stressed?” “How about letting go and surrender instead?”
Surrender?! What do you mean surrender? Sit around and do nothing? Is that what you mean by surrendering? “No, I gotta do something; I have to make it happen…”
Don’t despair: despair suggests you are in total control and know what is coming. You don’t – surrender to events with hope.
I didn’t fully understand the meaning of surrender. To me surrender equals giving up or making excuses not to go further. It’s a lame way to bow out of a situation.
What does surrender means to you? Have you tried surrendering? Do you believe there is a higher power? Does surrender means relinquishing your control to the higher power who knows best?
How do you enjoy the video? Do you agree that there is a higher power that will provide when we surrender to it?
Whether you believe in a higher power or not, I believe working hard or banging our head, being assertive like Oprah did does not necessarily bring about the desired result. We all have been there and done that. Let’s examine what the word surrender truly means?
“I wonder if pain comes from surrendering or resisting?” ― Donna Lynn Hope
I don’t believe surrender means giving up the control, it doesn’t mean relinquishing the power either. To me, surrender means allowing. Yes, surrender means giving the space it needs to breathe; giving the space for things to develop. Allowing means being opened and not stuck in the way, surrender means not controlling the ‘how’. Surrender means focusing on your ultimate chief aim and allows the best approach to present itself. Surrender means knowing and trusting that there are many ways to get to Rome and you are not stuck on having to fly there.
Surrender-The Secret to Allowing Greater Outcomes means admitting we don’t know what we don’t know. Our radar for success may simply be too small to see the entire picture. The channel that we perceive is only one of the many channels; it is not the only channel.
Surrender means to be opened and accepted that there are many possibilities in creating our success. It may need to take a few of what you perceived as ‘detours’ to get there, however, you ended up having more fun and being enriched by the experience. Look at how ‘The Color Purple’ opened the door to Oprah’s national program? Did Oprah have a national TV show in her radar screen? I bet you NOT.
To achieve success, all we need is to get clear about our desired goals and then let go of how you are going to achieve it. You can also use the word surrender to replace the letting go part here.
Once your subconscious mind is aligned with your goal, the result will come. You would only block your own success if you stand in the way. Surrender and trust the result will come in the best possible way. A way you would not even be able to imagine even if you try. The key here is to align your subconscious mind so you vibrate the right vibration. You know how you can align your unconscious mind right? Bio Energetic Synchronization Technique, Psych K are some of the tools you can use.
Tell me, do you agree surrender is the secret to allowing greater outcomes?
